Quality of care and services is so important. Also it is important that care homes like us have a very effective Quality System to check and audit how we are doing, and raising issues that need consideration and correcting.
The Quality System does the following EVERY MONTH:
- It asks residents about the care and services that they receive, through a simple questionnaire, and it also asks relatives and visitors how they feel about the care and service that we are providing to residents.
- It asks staff the same questions about the care that residents receive, as a cross check, and also asks staff how we are treating them
- It asks residents about the meals that they receive
- A manager from a sister care home performs a monthly audit
- An independent assessor checks our Health & Safety areas, every month
There is a Quality System Monthly Management Review EVERY MONTH, whereby:
- All the care home managers, the operations executive, the HR and administration managers meet to review the output of the previous month's Quality System. They review trends and any issues that arise, and agree corrective actions.
- Issues reported by residents and actions to correct them are reported back at Residents' meetings.
- Performance is shown on each home's notice board.
Each home is inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and their results are published on their website.
