The provision of a homely bedroom, along with furniture and a television.
The provision of community rooms which are nicely furnished,
and provide for community activities.
The provision of a qualified, experienced and registered (with the CSCI*) manager in each home, along with a senior staff member who is responsible for the home in the manager’s absence so that there is a responsible person on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
The provision of experienced (and suitable) carers who have been
carefully vetted, whose job where required is to:
Assist residents to wash and bathe
Assist residents to dress
Assist residents to toilet
Assist residents throughout the night to ensure that they are safe and secure, and any issues are dealt with; including regular bedroom checks throughout the night
Assist residents in the taking of medicines
To provide urgent assistance (via the radio call system) to residents in their bedroom
To provide residents with room service for breakfast, daytime tea and biscuits, serving lunch in the dining room or in the residents bedroom, night time drinks
The provision of experienced (and suitable) service staff who have been
carefully vetted, whose jobs are:
Kitchen staff: the provision of quality breakfast, lunch and supper
Laundry staff: the laundering of linen and residents clothes
and underwear (including ironing)
Household staff: the cleaning and tidying of bedrooms
and all community areas
Maintenance staff: the maintenance of bedrooms and the home
Entertainment staff: the provision of entertainment and activities
for residents in groups or on their own, as required
The availability of a hairdresser and chiropodist
(paid for by the resident)
The provision of GP, district nurse, vicar
(or other religious services) as and when required

The provision of qualified and experienced RGN nurses (24 hours per day, 365 days per year) whose job is to:
Provide full assessment of needs, implementation of care
and evaluation of outcomes for all nursing care needs
Provide continuous health monitoring processes for residents
Work closely with other health and social care professionals
Provide support with the management of medication for residents
Provide high quality "End of Life Care"
In our Nursing Home at Oaklands Court we provide
both carers and nurses.
