Residential care is the provision of a place to live in a residential care home, where support for normal day to day routines are provided. This support includes the provision of carers to assist in bathing, dressing and general care, along with cleaning and laundry, and the provision of three meals per day plus tea and snacks whenever requested. Caring is provided for 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Activities and entertainment are also provided.

Private residential care homes are not contracted to the NHS or local authority social services. The services that they provide are contracted between the residential care home and the resident (or their relatives or supporters).

Our residential care homes at The Queensmead and Oaklands Court are high quality, this means that they are purpose built, well furnished, well staffed and are run in a very resident focussed manner. We have very effective and well trained staff, efficient management, an outstanding Quality System along with excellent services like cleaning, laundry and outstanding kitchen and food quality.

Awards
The Queensmead kitchen has been awarded the 2007 'Only the Best' by Wealden Environmental Department. Oaklands Court was awarded ‘Care Home Of The Year (2005–6) – for outstanding achievement’ by the Surrey & Sussex Telegraph.

At Alfriston Court (opening in January 2008) we have designed it to be of luxury standard. All rooms are large and individually interior designed and furnished. The location is superb being on the edge of the tourist village of Alfriston. The staffing level is very generous. The food is ‘a la carte’ with full room service.
