The Queensmead, part of the Chanctonbury Healthcare group of homes, is very well known in Polegate, and has an outstanding reputation for high quality premises, caring and service. It is a modern purpose built residential care home, surrounded by lawns and trees. It has well-appointed bedrooms, all with en-suites with toilet and washbasin. There are two well furnished lounges and a lovely open aspect conservatory. There is a large bright and airy dining room, where meals are served to the table. The kitchen was awarded ‘Only the Best 2007’ by Wealden Environmental Health Department.
The Queensmead is a happy and safe residential care home. Staff are well trained and have an overriding motivation to make residents lives a joy with a full provision of caring and support, where required. There are a set of full processes that cover all the aspects of looking after residents which is supported by an outstanding Quality System, which on a regular basis asks residents, their relatives, friends and supporters about the care and services provided. A monthly independent full Health & Safety inspection is undertaken.
The Queensmead looks after both the physical health of our residents and their needs for maintaining an interesting and active lifestyle. There is a major amount of effort by the Activities Co-ordinator to provide group and individual activities and entertainment to all residents.
Visitors are welcome to visit at any time, and will always be provided with tea and biscuits.
